Description
Gold 50 Dinars of Jordan from 1976, issued for the Five Year Development Plan and cataloged as KM-50 / Schön-30. Struck in 91.7% gold, it weighs 15.98 g with a 28.4 mm diameter, and features the Jordan coat of arms with King Hussein on the obverse and the commemorative design on the reverse. Mintage was only 250 pieces total for both proof and mint state, making this one of the scarcest modern gold issues from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Certified NGC MS 62, this example is uncirculated and securely encapsulated. As of January 31, 2026, only four examples of this type have been graded by NGC, and none appear graded at PCGS, reinforcing its rarity in certified form — especially in lower uncirculated grades.
The 1976 50 Dinars is widely regarded as the key modern commemorative gold type from Jordan, critical for advanced Jordan collections or anyone focusing on limited mintage gold issues from the Middle East.
