# Qatar & Dubai 50 Dirhams 1966 (AH1386)
This copper-nickel 50 Dirhams coin was issued by Qatar and Dubai in 1966, during the pre-UAE period before the federation’s formation in 1971. The obverse features a gazelle in mid-leap surrounded by decorative beading, while the reverse displays the denomination and issuing authority in Arabic script. The coin represents the independent coinage era of the Arabian Gulf states prior to monetary union.
